Carlsbad-Oceanside Toastmasters Club 47

Be the Communicator You Want to Be

Welcome to Carlsbad-Oceanside Toastmasters Club 47

We meet Wednesdays from 6:30 to 7:45 at Calavera Hills Community Center, 2997 Glasgow Drive, Carlsbad, CA 92010.

Carlsbad-Oceanside Toastmasters is a public speaking club. We exist so you can practice in a warm, supportive environment your communication and leadership skills--essential soft skills you need both personally and professionally anywhere, anytime.

Who will benefit from attending our meetings?

Job seekers, sales people, administrators, employees, teachers, small business owners, entrepreneurs, ESL speakers, writers... If you need to prepare for a job interview, sales presentation, panel discussion, debate, or workshop, or you just want to work on your interpersonal skills, you can safely practice your speaking and listening skills at a Club 47 meeting.

Who belongs in our club?

Teachers, parents, sales people, managers, scientists, engineers, buyers, programmers, counselors, retirees, volunteers... We're a diverse group of people with different interests, professions, skills, and abilities. However, we all have at least one thing in common--we want to be better communicators.

Regardless of your skills and abilities, by attending Carlsbad-Oceanside Club 47 meetings once a week you will notice substantial improvement in your speaking and listening skills. By completing the Toastmasters educational program, you will feel confident when speaking in front of family, friends, colleagues, co-workers, and small or large groups. By participating in club roles, you will acquire valuable leadership skills. Toastmasters International also will officially recognize your achievements, which you can then add to your resume and employment record.

By becoming a Club 47 member, you will receive excellent educational materials in both communication and leadership from Toastmasters International. You will also receive a monthly subscription to Toastmasters Magazine and access to the Members Only section of the Toastmasters International website. Additionally, our club provides both group and one-on-one mentoring to help you succeed with your communication goals.

Guests are always welcome. So visit our club this Wednesday from 7 to 8:30 pm to find out what Carlsbad-Oceanside Toastmasters will do for you.
